Campus Housing

Living on campus has many advantages. Wallace State’s residence halls provide an environment conducive to academic achievement and are conveniently located within walking distance to classrooms, the library, and other campus facilities. Residents often find that living in a dorm is a great way to become involved in student activities and make new friends.

Wallace State offers both men’s and women’s dormitories. The rooms are large and designed for double-occupancy, but a limited number of single rooms are available. Most rooms have two double beds, two study areas with storage units, a large walk-in closet and a private bath. Multiple laundry facilities are located in each residence hall.

Cable outlets are provided in each room. The residence halls also provide community kitchen facilities. In addition, residents are allowed to have refrigerators and microwave ovens in their rooms. The WSCC Café, located in the School of Nursing and Center for Science, is open Monday-Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Wally's Grill is located in the Gudger Student Center, is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and each provide meals offered through the meal plan. A variety of restaurants are located adjacent to campus.

Applicants admitted to the dorms after the second week of classes will be charged a prorated dorm rental rate based upon the number of days remaining in the semester.
