Transfer Policy and Procedure
All Dental Hygiene Programs are individual within themselves regarding sequencing of courses and program requirements. Because of this individuality, it is extremely difficult to accept transfer students from other dental hygiene programs and maintain the appropriate sequencing for the students learning process, preparation for graduation and board examinations. Each student requesting transfer will have their current dental hygiene program evaluated for consistency of course sequencing, program requirements and compatibility with the WSCC Dental Hygiene Program.
Students accepted into the dental hygiene program with coursework from dental hygiene or dental programs may apply for transfer to the program. Transfer will be dependent upon the length of time since the courses were taken, grade received, course content, and whether the program is accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation .
Transfer is permitted if dental hygiene or dental courses have been completed within the past 3 years.
