Wallace State gets revenge over Bishop State
Hanceville, AL — Wallace State Community College’s men’s basketball team celebrate Homecoming night with a 64-53 victory over Bishop State Community College, exacting revenge over a 74-59 loss earlier in the year to the No. 1 ranked team in the conference.
The Lions were down by 11 points with a score of 64-53 going into the locker room at halftime. But the Lions reversed the numbers in the second half, outscoring Bishop State 64-53 to secure the win.
The Lions were by freshman guards Jimmie Williams and Jalen Carruth. Williams scored 22 points in the game, with nine rebounds, while Carruth scored 11 points and secured three rebounds. Sophomore guard Kelvin Turner turned in 11 points and sophomore center PJ Eason scored eight points and brought down seven rebounds. Kami Young scored two and had three rebounds. From the bench, Authur Johnson scored six points, Jalen Anglin four and Kendarius Anderson two.
The win puts the Lions up to 22-8 for the season as they head into the Alabama Community College Conference Championship tournament.
