Wallace State defeats Calhoun 90-72
Hanceville, AL – Wallace State Community College men’s basketball team defeated Calhoun Community College behind an impressive performance by guards Jimmie Williams and Jalen Anglin.
Williams, a freshman from Cleveland, Ohio, scored 29 points to lead the Lions to victory, with Anglin, a sophomore from Jackson, Tenn., following with 22 points. Williams also pulled down five rebounds and had four assists and one steal. Anglin pulled down four rebounds.
Freshman guard Authur Johnson of Carrolton, Ga., netted 17 points and had three rebounds and three assists.
Sophomore center PJ Eason grabbed10 rebounds, converting them into second-chance points for a total of eight points during the games. Freshman guard Kendarius Anderson of Tuscumbia also scored eight points.
In the end, Wallace State won the conference matchup 90-72 over Calhoun.
The win brings the Lions record to 16-3 for the season.
